Day 2Blue Mountain

We start our Blue Mountains Day Tour with some of Australia’s cutest and cuddliest native animals at the Sydney Zoo. Spend the morning feeding kangaroos, cuddling koalas, and meeting other native animals at the zoo. There are also animals from Africa and Asia including Sydney’s only rhino. Be sure to have your camera handy to capture these adorable animals in action!

We’ll say goodbye to our new furry friends at the zoo and head for the Blue Mountains. Your 1 Day Blue Mountains Tour would not be complete without a visit to Echo Point to admire the iconic Three Sisters.

We head towards Scenic World, where you can ride the world’s steepest Scenic Railway, the Scenic Skyway or the Cableway (rides at your own expense). Alternatively, you can enjoy a self-guided hike along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk! There are a number of lookouts to admire including the Orphan Rock Lookout, Katoomba Falls Lookout, and more. This beginner-friendly walk along the clifftops is the perfect opportunity to experience unparalleled views of the Grampians.

The tour will conclude at Homebush Bay, where you can purchase a ferry ticket (own cost) and enjoy a relaxing cruise back to Sydney Harbour!

Day 3Sydney City Tour

Sydney Opera House: Start your day with a visit to the iconic Sydney Opera House. This architectural marvel is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. You can take a guided tour to learn about its history, design, and the performances that take place in its various halls.

Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair: After the Opera House, take a short walk to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, a historic sandstone bench carved by convicts in 1810. It offers one of the best vantage points to capture stunning views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Royal Botanic Garden: Just a stone’s throw away, explore the lush Royal Botanic Garden. Established in 1816, this garden is home to an impressive collection of plants from Australia and around the world. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and learn about native flora.

Sydney Fish Market: For lunch, head to the Sydney Fish Market, the largest seafood market in the Southern Hemisphere. Here, you can indulge in fresh seafood delicacies, from oysters and sashimi to grilled fish, all while soaking in the bustling market atmosphere.

The University of Sydney: After lunch, visit the University of Sydney, Australia’s oldest university, founded in 1850. The campus is renowned for its Gothic Revival architecture, particularly the Quadrangle and Great Hall. A walk around the university grounds offers a glimpse into Australia’s academic history and stunning historic buildings.

Hyde Park: Next, take a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park, Sydney’s oldest public park. The park is known for its grand fig-lined avenues, fountains, and statues, including the iconic Archibald Fountain, which commemorates Australia’s participation in World War I.

St. Mary’s Cathedral: Adjacent to Hyde Park is St. Mary’s Cathedral, a striking Gothic Revival church and the largest cathedral in Australia. Take some time to admire its stunning architecture, intricate stained glass windows, and serene interior.

Dinner at the Sydney Tower Revolving Restaurant: End your day with a unique dining experience at the Sydney Tower Revolving Restaurant. As you savor a delicious dinner, the restaurant slowly rotates, giving you 360-degree views of the cityscape, making it the perfect way to conclude your Sydney adventure.
